George David (Harry} Beatty

From Swift Current, Saskatchewan #4 Radio School. F/O Beatty was killed when his Proctor aircraft #Z 7217 crashed at Coleford, Gloucester, England. Flying Officer Pilot Beatty is buried in the Blacon Cemetery, Chester, Cheshire, England.

Flying Officer Beatty
   Killed in England

Some weeks ago word was received in Lindsay of the death of this gallant young airman Flying Officer G. D. Beatty. The young officer is a son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Keith of Lindsay. Mrs. Beatty and young son arte residents of the town. Flying Officer Beatty was killed on active duty in England on May 4th. He was born in Saskatchewan and is a graduate of the School of Practical Science, Toronto. He enlisted immediately following his graduation.
 

F/O. George David Beatty

F/O. George David Beatty was killed on active service overseas May 4. According to information received by Toronto friends. His wife, Marian L. Keith Beatty, formerly of Parkdale, Toronto, is now a resident of Lindsay, Ont. F/O Beatty was born in Swift Current, Sask., the son of Mr. and Mrs.W. A. Beatty. He attended the University of Toronto, after enlisting in 1941 took the R.C.A.F. radio course at McMaster University. He re-mustered to aircrew and was winged in England, where he was promoted to flying officer. Surviving also are his 2-year-old son, George Walter Beatty, and three brothers, all in active serice.
